Harris, known as Tim, was born to Harris, senior and Edna Schuster, on March 27th 1950, in Amarillo, Texas. He was a dedicated father, a caring grandfather, and a loving husband to his wife Betty Schuster, of 45 years. He graduated from Palo Duro High School where he enjoyed playing the saxophone in the band. Tim carried a belief in the value in helping those who were in need. Tim and his wife were youth leaders at Pleasant Valley Methodist Church in the early 1980’s and led a Clowning Ministry during that time. Tim was a lifelong Odd Fellow and Past Grand Master of the order. The lodge was one of his great passions throughout his life, living out the motto of, ‘Friendship, Love, and Truth’. He spent over 40 years dedicated to the Theta Rho and Juniors, the youth of the order. During these years, Tim and his wife grew the youth program in Amarillo Texas. They spent endless hours organizing, volunteering, and traveling across the state, providing unforgettable experiences for those youth in their formative years. There are many boys and girls that Tim fostered into respectful young men and women, including his own children.
Tim attended Amarillo College, worked construction for several years, and then became a Licensed Realtor, eventually moving into property management. Tim fought numerous health battles for the past two decades. Despite illnesses, he never lost his sense of humor; Tim was cracking jokes with his family up until the day he passed. He always had a way of making others smile, being silly with strangers and those close to him - especially his grandchildren.
Tim is survived by his three children, Bettima Schuster, Penny Vick Hendrix (Leigh Hendrix), and Harris Schuster IV (Teresa Schuster) and his six grandchildren; Mya, Acesa, Jonas, Harlan, Harris, and Tabatha.
